Writing and Publication Principles

General Conditions

The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published anywhere before and should not have entered the evaluation process for publication anywhere. Manuscripts sent to the journal are sent to the referee if they meet the prerequisites. In accordance with the referee reports, the editorial board decides whether the article will be published or not. Unpublished articles are not returned to the author.

The scientific responsibility of the articles published in the journal belongs to the author. After its publication in the journal, all copyrights of the article belong to the Journal of Political Economy Studies. No royalty fees are paid to the authors of published articles. The version of the article written in Microsoft Office Word program must be sent over the system.

Editing Articles

Articles can be prepared in rtf, doc or docx formats. The name of the article file should be recorded by giving the surnames of the authors. An article can be written to this file or it can be converted into a suitable format by copy / paste method. Articles should be written in Microsoft Office Word program with "Times New Roman font size 12" and "1.15" line spacing.

Page layout should be chosen as A4; "2.5 cm" margins must be left from the right, left, top and bottom edges. There should be no indentation at the beginning of the paragraph and there should be a space between the paragraphs. The article should include an abstract in Turkish not exceeding 150 words and an English abstract at the end of the article. At least 3 and at most 5 keywords should be included in Turkish and English separately.

The article should include Turkish and foreign titles. In the journal, citation should be given in parentheses in the text as the author's surname and publication year. Example: (Cem, 2020: 26). APA format is valid in the journal.

References utilized should be shown on a separate page at the end of the article, in surname order and alphabetically under the heading "Bibliography".

Authors must indicate the JEL Code in articles submitted for publication. JEL Code should be written below the keywords specified in Turkish and foreign languages. You can reach the JEL Code from the address below.

Referee Process

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are first evaluated by the editors. Manuscripts that do not fall within the scope of the journal or that do not comply with a scientific writing format in terms of content and form requirements are rejected or some changes may be requested before the peer review process is initiated. The journal uses a double-blind referee system, where the names of the referees and authors are kept confidential at every stage of the process. The final evaluation is made by the editor for all articles that come to the publication stage with a positive opinion by the referees. Articles that are decided to be "published" by the editor are put in the order of publication.

Ethics and Plagiarism

Authors must comply with scientific ethical rules. Articles with a plagiarism rate above 20% cannot be published.
